Stock lot supply for Nairobi and Mombasa buyers
You buy for a shop, a wholesale counter or a distribution business in Kenya and want new surplus goods at lot prices. This page shows how Global Pioneer gets them to Mombasa and on to Nairobi.
Who buys stock lots in Kenya
Kenyan demand for lots comes from wholesalers who break bales and cartons for smaller traders, from retailers who restock family clothing and shoes, and from distributors who send goods on to Uganda, South Sudan and eastern DR Congo. In Nairobi, Eastleigh is the big name. It is a major wholesale clothing hub with long trading links to Dubai, and many buyers there already know how Dubai consolidation works.
Global Pioneer has worked from Deira, Dubai since 2017. We have no office, licence or agent in Kenya. We ship to you from the source country or from Dubai, and you or your clearing agent handle the Kenyan side. See the wider Africa stock lot hub for other markets.
Routes into Mombasa and up to Nairobi
Mombasa is the main port. From there the Northern Corridor runs inland by road, and the Standard Gauge Railway links Mombasa with Nairobi. Here is how a lot usually reaches you. We confirm the route and documents per shipment.
| Source | Port of discharge | Inland corridor | Documents to plan for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bangladesh (Chattogram, usually transshipped) | Mombasa | SGR rail or road to Nairobi | KEBS PVoC Certificate of Conformity where the product is regulated, IDF via KenTrade |
| China (main export ports) | Mombasa | Northern Corridor road or SGR | KEBS PVoC where regulated, IDF via KenTrade |
| Vietnam or Cambodia | Mombasa, usually after transshipment | SGR or road to Nairobi | KEBS PVoC where regulated, IDF via KenTrade |
| India (west or south coast ports) | Mombasa | SGR or road to Nairobi | KEBS PVoC where regulated, IDF via KenTrade |
| Mixed lot consolidated at Jebel Ali, Dubai | Mombasa | SGR or road to Nairobi | KEBS PVoC where regulated, IDF via KenTrade |
The Import Declaration Form is raised through the KenTrade single window before the goods arrive. Whether a lot needs a PVoC certificate depends on the product and HS code, so we check that with you before loading. The step by step view is in our guide to importing stock lots into Africa.
Categories that sell well through Kenyan wholesale
- Knitwear basics from Bangladesh export surplus: T-shirts, polos, sweatshirts and kids basics.
- Denim, shirts and trousers from Bangladesh, India and Cambodia.
- Footwear, bags and mixed general merchandise from Chinese stock lots.
- Home textiles such as towels and bedsheets from Indian mills.
- Kids wear for back-to-school and holiday restocks.
Every lot is new, unworn stock. That means export surplus, cancelled orders, production overruns and end-of-season goods. We do not trade second-hand clothing. If a lot includes minor-fault B-grade pieces, we tell you before you pay. To weigh one origin against another, read how the five source countries compare.
Direct shipment or Dubai consolidation
A full container of one product from one factory usually goes direct to Mombasa. If you want a mixed load, for example kids wear from India plus footwear from China, we can gather it at Jebel Ali and ship one container. Eastleigh traders often prefer this because it lets them test several lines at once. Buyers who also supply Kampala can read our Uganda stock lot page, and those trading south can see Tanzania.

Do you have an office in Nairobi or Mombasa?
No. Global Pioneer works from Deira, Dubai and has no office, licence or agent in Kenya. We ship from the source country or from Jebel Ali, and your own clearing agent handles customs at Mombasa.
Does a stock lot need a KEBS PVoC certificate?
It depends on the product and its HS code. Many regulated consumer goods need a PVoC Certificate of Conformity before shipping. We check the lot against the requirement with you and confirm the documents per shipment.
Who raises the Import Declaration Form for Kenya?
The importer raises the IDF through the KenTrade single window, usually through a clearing agent, before the goods arrive. We send the invoice and packing list details needed to complete it.
Are these lots second-hand clothes for the Eastleigh market?
No. Our lots are new and unworn: export surplus, cancelled orders, overruns and end-of-season stock. If a lot holds minor-fault B-grade pieces, we disclose it before you commit.
Can I mix Chinese footwear and Bangladesh T-shirts in one container to Mombasa?
Yes, through Dubai consolidation at Jebel Ali. Goods from different sources are gathered and loaded together. Kifayatullah confirms whether direct or consolidated suits your order better.
How do goods get from Mombasa to Nairobi?
Most cargo moves by the Standard Gauge Railway or by road along the Northern Corridor. Your clearing agent arranges the inland leg after customs release.
Can I resell a Kenya shipment into Uganda or South Sudan?
Many Nairobi wholesalers do. The Northern Corridor continues to Uganda and beyond. Transit rules differ by country, so plan it with your agent. Our Uganda page covers the Kampala side.
