Trading conditions since 2023

Conflict in Sudan since 2023 has disrupted trade, banking and inland transport. Conditions change quickly. Shipping schedules, insurance, payment channels and the roads inland from the coast can all shift within weeks. We do not make promises about any route into Sudan. Before you pay for a lot, we check with the shipping line and your forwarder whether the route is open at that time.

The Port Sudan route

Port Sudan on the Red Sea is the country's main sea gateway. Lots can travel there direct from the source country, usually with transshipment, or as a mixed container from Jebel Ali. We confirm the route and documents per shipment.

How we handle a Sudan enquiry

  1. You tell Kifayatullah the categories you want and your consignee.
  2. We check whether sailings to Port Sudan are running for that lot.
  3. You confirm with your forwarder that they can receive and move the goods.
  4. We agree a payment channel that works at that time.
  5. Only then do we reserve the lot and book freight.

If any step is unclear, we pause rather than ship. That protects your money and ours. You can still ask for photos, packing lists and grade details at any time, so you are ready to move when your forwarder confirms the route is working. We would rather hold a quote open than push a shipment into a route that has just closed.

Can you ship stock lots to Port Sudan now?

It depends on current conditions. Since 2023 conflict has disrupted trade and things change fast. Kifayatullah checks sailings and the route with you before you commit to any order.

Do you have an office or agent in Sudan?

No. Global Pioneer has no office, licence or agent in Sudan. We work from Dubai and deal with buyers directly by WhatsApp and email. Your forwarder handles the Sudan side.

What happens if the route closes after I order?

We do not book freight until the route, payment and consignee are clear. If conditions change before loading, we stop and agree the next step with you.

Which documents do you provide for a Sudan shipment?

We provide the commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading. Your clearing agent at Port Sudan confirms any other documents needed at the time of import.

Are the goods new or used?

New. Every lot is unworn surplus stock from factories and exporters: export surplus, cancelled orders and overruns. B-grade pieces with minor faults are listed before you pay.

Can a Sudan order be consolidated in Dubai?

Yes. Many buyers prefer a mixed container from Jebel Ali, which lets you combine clothing, shoes and textiles in one shipment, if the route is open.
