The Sandaga area of central Dakar has long been a trading hub, with wholesalers selling clothing, shoes and household goods to shop owners from across the country. The Port of Dakar also serves as a gateway to Mali, so some Dakar importers buy for customers inland as well. Buyers who contact us are usually wholesalers, importers who supply several shops, and retailers who want new lines at lot prices.

Customs points for Senegal

Senegal applies the ECOWAS common external tariff, with duty bands by HS code. So each line in your lot needs a clear description and HS code. Ask your Dakar clearing agent which pre-shipment or cargo tracking documents apply at the time of your order.

Commercial invoice and packing list with matching quantities.
Bill of lading and certificate of origin.
HS code, fibre content and size breakdown for garment lines.
Transit papers if the goods continue to Mali.

Lots that fit the Dakar trade

All our lots are new goods: export surplus, cancelled orders, overruns and end-of-season stock. None of it is second-hand. Questions buyers ask

Can stock lots to Dakar continue on to Mali?

Yes, the Port of Dakar is a gateway to Mali. Tell Kifayatullah at the start so the bill of lading and invoice show the right consignee. Your clearing agent arranges the transit, and we confirm the documents per shipment.

What import tariff applies to stocklots in Senegal?

Do you sell second-hand clothes to Senegal?

No. Every lot is new and unworn, from export surplus, cancelled orders, overruns or end-of-season stock. B-grade pieces with minor faults are disclosed in the packing list before you pay.
