Stocklot suppliers for Lagos and the Nigerian market
You buy for Balogun stalls or your own Lagos warehouse and want new surplus goods at lot prices. We ship from five source countries and check the Nigerian paperwork with you before anything is loaded.
Who buys stock lots in Lagos
Lagos is the front door for most consumer goods entering Nigeria. Balogun market on Lagos Island is the big textile and clothing market, and many of its traders buy in bulk to sell on to smaller shops in other states. Distributors with their own warehouses and retail chains looking for fresh lines also buy lots. What they share is simple. They want new goods at a lower cost than a fresh factory order, and they want to know exactly what is in each carton.
Global Pioneer is a Dubai trading company. We have no office, licence or agent in Nigeria. We source lots from factories and exporters in five countries and ship them to your port. You or your clearing agent handle the Nigerian side.
Check the prohibition list before you pick a lot
Nigeria keeps an import prohibition list. At different times it has covered some textiles, footwear and bags. Rules change, so check the current Nigeria Customs Service list against the HS code of each line before you commit money. We give you the product description and suggested HS code for every line in a lot. Your clearing agent confirms the final position. If a line is on the list, we look for a lot in a category that is open.
Routes from the factories to Lagos
Most lots go direct from the source country to a Lagos terminal. Mixed lots from more than one country can be consolidated in Dubai first. We confirm the route per order.
| Source | Port of discharge | Inland leg |
|---|---|---|
| Bangladesh, from Chattogram with transshipment at a hub port | Apapa or Tin Can Island | Truck to Lagos Island traders or your warehouse |
| China, from Ningbo, Shenzhen or Guangzhou Nansha | Apapa, Tin Can Island or Lekki Deep Sea Port | Truck within Lagos or onward to other states |
| Vietnam, from Cat Lai or Hai Phong | Lekki or Apapa | Truck to your warehouse |
| Cambodia, from Sihanoukville with transshipment, for example via Singapore | Apapa or Tin Can Island | Truck within Lagos |
| India, from Mundra, Nhava Sheva or Chennai | Apapa or Tin Can Island | Truck within Lagos or onward |
| Mixed lots consolidated at Jebel Ali, Dubai | Any Lagos terminal on the sailing | Truck |
Each source has its own strengths. Read the Bangladesh garment lots page for knitwear and denim, China lots for footwear, bags and home goods, Vietnam lots for sportswear and shoes, Cambodia lots for garments and travel goods, and India lots for cotton apparel and home textiles. The source country comparison puts them side by side.
Nigerian import documents we line up with you
- Form M, opened through an authorised dealer bank before the goods are imported. Open it before we load.
- SONCAP certificate for products that fall under it. Whether your lot needs one depends on the product and HS code.
- Commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading that match each other line by line.
- Certificate of origin from the source country.
- A product description and HS code for every line, so your agent can check duty and the prohibition list.
We confirm the documents per shipment with you and your clearing agent. Nothing ships until the paperwork for that order is agreed.
New goods only, never second-hand
Our lots are new and unworn. They come from export surplus, cancelled orders, production overruns and end-of-season stock. A lot may hold minor-fault B-grade pieces, and we always say so in the packing list. We do not trade second-hand clothing. Categories that suit Lagos buyers include men's, women's and kids' apparel, kids wear, footwear, bags and accessories, and home textiles such as towels and bedsheets.

Do I need SONCAP for a clothing stock lot going to Lagos?
It depends on the product and HS code. Some regulated products need a SONCAP certificate before clearance. Send Kifayatullah the lot details and your clearing agent checks the current SONCAP scope. We confirm the documents per shipment before loading.
When should I open Form M for a stocklot?
Open Form M through your authorised dealer bank before the goods are imported. In practice that means before we load the container. Share the proforma invoice we send you with your bank so the details match the final invoice.
Are textiles and footwear banned from import into Nigeria?
Nigeria's import prohibition list has covered some textiles, footwear and bags at different times. Check the current Nigeria Customs Service list for the HS code of each line before you commit. If a line is restricted, we look for a lot in an open category.
Are your Nigeria lots used clothing or bales?
No. Every lot is new and unworn: export surplus, cancelled orders, overruns or end-of-season stock. Any minor-fault B-grade pieces are disclosed in the packing list. We do not supply second-hand clothing.
Which Lagos port will my stock lot arrive at?
Usually Apapa or Tin Can Island, and some services call at Lekki Deep Sea Port. The terminal depends on the shipping line serving the source port. Kifayatullah confirms the port of discharge when he quotes the route.
Can I mix Bangladesh and China goods in one container to Nigeria?
Yes. Mixed lots can be consolidated at Jebel Ali in Dubai and shipped to Lagos together. Direct shipment from one source country is often simpler. We confirm which route fits your order.
Does Global Pioneer have an office in Lagos?
No. Global Pioneer is a Dubai trading company with no office, licence or agent in Nigeria. We ship from the source country or Dubai, and your clearing agent handles customs in Lagos.
