Where Qatar's wholesale trade sits

Doha's budget and wholesale clothing trade is strongest in the older commercial streets around Najma and Mansoura and in the Industrial Area, which serves the large worker population. Souq Waqif sells to visitors more than to the trade. Many Qatar buyers resell to small shops in Al Rayyan, Al Wakrah and Al Khor.

Duty

Qatar applies the GCC common customs tariff. Qatar had not brought in VAT at the time of writing. Clearance runs through the Al Nadeeb customs system. Your clearing agent confirms the current position before the goods ship.

Which port do stock lots for Doha use?

Hamad Port. Lots ship there direct from the source country or via Jebel Ali.

Can stock lots go to Qatar by road?

Yes, through Saudi Arabia and Abu Samra, but it needs transit paperwork. Sea is usually simpler.

Do you have an office in Qatar?

No. We ship from Dubai and confirm the route per order.

Do you publish prices or minimum orders?

No. Every lot is different, so Kifayatullah quotes each one on its own packing list. You see sizes, colours and carton counts before you agree a price.

Can I see the goods before I pay?

Yes. We send photos and the packing list first, and samples are couriered to you. We do not take walk-in visits at the Dubai office.
